Resume

The article deals with the socio-economic essence of the concept of «cross-border tourist market», its interrelation with the related concepts «transboundary tourism», «transboundary region» is substantiated. The necessity of study of the cross-border tourism market on the principles of the concept of sustainable tourism development is proved. The main directions of research and development of cross-border tourist markets on the basis of the study of approaches of foreign and domestic researchers are determined.
