Resume

The importance of integrating Africa into the global space and using its opportunities for economic development is argued. It is found that the interest of developed countries to sub-Saharan Africa is due to the availability of natural resources. The factors restraining the global competitiveness of the countries of the given region are established. The distribution of Sub-Saharan Africa according to the level of global competitiveness is analyzed. An assessment of the economic growth of Sub-Saharan Africa has been carried out and the uneven distribution of the distribution has been proved. The importance of financial assistance from international organizations (the World Bank and the IMF) for ensuring economic development is established. The role of the mining industry in deepening the integration of African countries is revealed and the importance of mining precious metals and precious stones for the economic development of South Africa and Botswana is argued. The peculiarities of the African-Chinese investment cooperation are substantiated. Measures to accelerate the integration of sub-Saharan Africa into the global economic space are outlined.
