Basic requirements for publication in the journal

Editorial office accepts original, previously not published papers on theoretical and applied issues of regional economy, written on actual problem that contain the results of deep scientific research and have justification of scientific results according with the purpose the paper.

Papers submitted to the editorial board undergo rigorous internal and external review. In case of negative review result paper may be returned to the author for revision or rejected. The names and coordinates of internal reviewers and the content of their reviews is confidential information that can not be disclosed.

In case of rejection of the paper, the author can submit a new paper to the Editorial Board. The main reasons for rejection of papers: the discrepancy in subjects of journal; insufficient scientific and theoretical level and low practical value of the paper.

Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial and stylistic edits without coordination with the author. Responsibility for the accuracy of the information, facts and other information, links to regulations, quotations, proper names, and the accuracy of the translations are the authors’ responsibility.

If the paper complies with requirements of Ministry of Education of Ukraine and editorial policy of the journal, the author, in the case of a positive response will receive a letter from the editors about the payment for services of a scientific and literary editing preparation and publication of a paper in the paper version, its location and link in Internet.

For publication of the papers authors do not get royalties.

Requirements for scientific paper composing

Manuscripts of research papers as required by the Resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Attestation Commission of Ukraine 15. 01. 2003 № 7-05/1 should include the following elements:

  • problem definition and its relationship with scientific and practical tasks;
  • analysis of recent research and publications, which discuss specific issues on which the author’s paper is based;
  • allocation of unsolved aspects of the problem;
  • formulation of goals of paper (problem);
  • presentation the main research and explanation of scientific results;
  • research conclusions;
  • prospects for further research in this direction;
  • references.

These elements are obligatory but do not require explicit allocation in paper, they are the main criteria for its evaluation.

Papers are published in Ukrainian, English and Russian and must have following elements:

  • UDC index;
  • information about the author;
  • title of the paper;
  • keywords by Ukrainian and English;
  • abstracts by Ukrainian and English;
  • text of the paper;
  • references.

Technical requirements for scientific paper composing

Adhere to the following requirements when preparing the paper:

  • Size of the papers: problem-theoretical areas – up to 12 pages; case studies – up to 10; short messages – up to 6; book reviews -up to 4; chronicles – up to 2.
  • Papers are accepted by e-mail, as well as on electronic data carriers (flash drives, memory cards, CD-R/DVD-R) in Microsoft Word 2003, 2007, 2010 etc. (*. doc, *. docx). Electronic version must be accompanied by two print copies.
  • Text should be typed in font Times New Roman, 14 size; 1,5 line spacing; top, bottom left and right – 2 cm, right – 1,5 cm; paragraph – 1,25 cm.
  • Structure: UDC index – first page top left; JEL Classification code – from 1 to 5 in a row, separated by commas; surname and name of author (- s) (up to three people) – right; degree, rank, title, affiliation of the author (-s) – lower, middle, italicized; personal e-mail of the author; centered in bold italics is a title of the paper; centered in bold italics is a title of the paper; paper is typed across the width of a paragraph in a column; key findings (and explanation of scientific results); findings (results of a study of the author, offers, recommendations for further research in this area, conclusions have to be based on the purpose and be consistent with abstract); keywords and abstract – Ukrainian and English; list of references.
  • Illustrative material (graphs, charts, figures and tables) must be done in the available for editing applications: tables – Microsoft Word; Chart – Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Graph; pictures – in the form of organization charts by using the drawing editor Microsoft Word; formula – Microsoft Equation; Photos should be stored in the format «*.tiff» or «*.jpeg» with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Titles of tables and their numbers are issued with a new line, right in the text, in italics; name of the table is on a separate line, centered on the page, name the figure is placed under the illustration, the center line indicating its continuous numbering in the paper word «Figure» and his number is separated from the name by. The numbering of formulas is carried out through the paper and is indicated to the right of the formulas in parentheses.
  • The number of graphic material should be minimal. Graphs and diagrams should not overload the text labels. Visual materials have to be of high quality. You may not use the text scanned drawings or formulas..
  • Reference to the source in the text should be presented in square brackets, eg [1, p. 12], where the first number indicates the serial number of the source in the bibliography, and the second – to the appropriate page in the source; one source (from page) is separated from the rest by a semicolon.

Papers executed with violation of these requirements, are not considered by Editorial Board.

Requirements for authoring information composing

Author’s information provides the full name, degree, academic title, position, institution (in two languages – Ukrainian and English), address, postal code, phone number, e-mail.

Requirements for abstracts composing

Each paper submitted to the editorial board should contain keywords and abstracts in two languages (Ukrainian and English).

Abstracts contain: last name, first name of the author (in full), title, text of abstract, keyword list. Volume of abstract in Ukrainian and Russian should be 100-150 words.

Annotation in English is prepared in extended form and must disclose: the problem, objectives, research methods, key findings, conclusions and concrete proposals of author. Abstract should be 300-500 words.

Requirements to the list of references

  • For each source in the reference list must be referenced in the text. Sources are listed in order of reference issued and approved in accordance with the requirements of HAC of Ukraine in quoting and processing lists of references (Report HAC Ukraine № 6, 2007 (subject to change – Bulletin of HAC of Ukraine № 3, 2008)). These requirements are based on the provisions of the State Standard GOST 7.1:2006 «System standards information, librarianship and publishing. Records. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules of assembly» (State Standard 7.1-2003, IDT)..
  • Transliteration into Latin alphabet (recommended by international bibliographic standard APA-2010 (Standard APA – http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/APA/book)). Cyrillic names in bibliographic description of scientific papers need to be transliterated (according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 27. 01. 2010 № 55 «On regulation of Ukrainian transliteration in Roman letters of the alphabet»), and taken in brackets – in English.
