The article is devoted to the assessment of the main factors and preconditions for localization of activity in the IT sector of Ukraine. It was substantiated that the main competitive advantages of the Ukrainian IT sector are simultaneously the leading factors in the localization of IT companies in Ukraine. The main purpose of this work is to identify and evaluate the most important factors and preconditions for localization of entrepreneurial activity in the IT sector of Ukraine, as well as to outline the priority ways for its activation in the near future. Based on the assessment of localization of activity in the IT sector of Ukraine the author has established that the high concentration of experienced highly skilled IT specialists capable of creating innovative products and solving complex business tasks, geographical proximity to the European Union countries and overall low costs for organization and business can be called the most important factors influencing the decision-making process on creation of new and development of existing companies in a certain location in the Ukrainian IT sector. The basic preconditions of localization of the majority of R & D centers of well-known international technology companies, the release of the largest IT projects and initiatives of IT communities, the most intensive development of the innovation ecosystem in the leading IT centers of Ukraine has been analyzed.
