Resume

The preconditions of emergence and formation of spatial educational systems are investigated. The main groups of spatial educational systems are outlined: virtual and territorially localized. The main spatial educational systems that function as independent economic units are described: educational clusters, educational corporations (universities enterprises), educational and training complexes, educational online platforms, etc. It is shown that stimulation of the development of new spatial structures in the socio-economic sphere should become one of the strategic tasks of the regions, which should be reflected in the strategies and programs of socio-economic development.
