Resume

The features of the influence of rural areas economic development to activation of investment-innovation processes within the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region have researched. The emphasis is placed to the legal-institutional and organization-institutional aspects of the development of rural areas. The presence of economic disproportions in the process of development of rural areas at the different sides of Ukrainian-Polish border has defined. The destructive influence of these disproportions on the investment climate and the innovative potential of the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region have revealed. The necessity of improving the institutional environment of rural areas development in order to intensify investment-innovation processes within the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region have proved. The proposals aimed at the development of rural areas of Ukraine that situated near-border with Poland for increase their socio-economic potential and stimulate investment-innovation processes within the Ukrainian-Polish cross-border region are formulated.
