Coordination of research activities

Institute for Regional Studies is the leading scientific institution in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on issues of regional policy and cross-border cooperation. The Institute coordinates the research of these problems that run in higher education and research institutions of Ukraine.

Coordination of research on regional policy is carried out: the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine «Institute of Economics and Forecasting" NAS of Ukraine, the Council of Productive Forces Ukraine National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute for Demography and Social Studies of Ukraine, Institute of Industrial Economics of NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Economics and Legal Studies, NAS of Ukraine, Institute of Market Problems and Economic-Ecological Research NAS of Ukraine, the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

In the course of research and practical implementation of the results established cooperation with Lviv, Volyn, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Rivne and Ternopil regional administration, local authorities, Lviv region, Western Scientific Center of NAS and MES of Ukraine, Ternopil National Economic University, Lviv Banking Institute of the University of banking NBU, National University "Lviv Polytechnic" National Forestry University of Ukraine, Volyn National University, Lutsk National Technical University, National University of Water Management and Natural Resources (Rivne) and many other agencies and organizations.
