Key Action 1: LEARNING MOBILITY OF INDIVIDUALS

KA131, KA171: Learning mobility for higher education students and staff

This initiative supports:

  • Physical and blended mobility for higher education students at any level (short cycle, bachelor, master, and doctoral). Students can study abroad at partner institutions or undertake traineeships in enterprises, research institutes, laboratories, organizations, or other relevant workplaces abroad. They can also combine study periods abroad with traineeships to enhance learning outcomes and develop transversal skills.
  • Professional development of teaching and administrative staff of higher education institutions abroad, as well as the involvement of specialists from other fields to teach and train students or staff. These activities may include periods of teaching and training (such as job shadowing, observation periods, training courses).

The objective of this action is to contribute to establishing a European Education Area with a global outreach and to strengthen the link between education and research.

The specific goals for students are to:

  • expose them to diverse perspectives, knowledge, teaching, research methods, and work practices in a European and international context;
  • develop transversal skills in communication, language, critical thinking, problem solving, intercultural competence, and research;
  • foster digital and green skills to address current and future challenges;
  • facilitate personal development, including adaptability and self-confidence.

The specific goals for staff, including those from enterprises, are to:

  • share their expertise;
  • experience new teaching environments;
  • acquire new innovative pedagogical and curriculum design skills as well as digital skills;
  • connect with their peers abroad to develop common activities;
  • exchange good practices and enhance cooperation between higher education institutions;
  • better prepare students for the world of work.
