- Theoretical and methodological principles of formation and mechanisms of realization of regional environmental policy, scientific support for the development of regional environmental programs.
- Problems of environmental safety of mountainous and cross-border regions and ways of their solution.
- Justification of the strategy of use the natural resource potential of the region.
- Scientific bases and mechanisms of sustainable development in mountain territories, and environmental innovations.

- Methodological foundations and directions of reforming of the administrative-territorial system of Ukraine (2014-2016)
- Mechanisms of regulation of environmental safety of the cross-border region in the conditions of European integration of Ukraine (2013–2015)
- Use of natural resource potential of mountain territories of Ukraine on the basis of sustainable development (2012-2014)
- Assessment of the state and justification of the prospects for use the natural resource potential of the region (2011-2012)
- Current state and prospects of development of market relations in the field of natural resources use: regional context (2008-2010)
