On 2018, May 17 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine Third Scientific Readings on the issues of regionalism in memory of Academician Maryan Dolishniy – Round table "Development of mountain territories of the Carpathians: European experience and domestic perspectives" was held.
The first vice-chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Rostyslav Zamlynsky took part in the roundtable discussion, describing the urgency of the issues discussed by the responsible representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regional councils, the Lviv Regional State Administration, chairmans of the Skole District Council Mykola Romanyshyn, Starosambirsky District Council Tetyana Terletska, Turka District Council Volodymyr Lozyuk, representatives of district state administrations, Director of the Institute for Cross-Border Cooperation and European Integration Bohdan Matolych, researchers from Lviv and Uzhgorod.

On 2018, April 24-27 in the cities Lodz (in Polish Łódź) and Lviv, within the framework of the International Science Week, the III International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "Prospects for the Development of Entrepreneurship in an International Context" was held. The main organizers of the conference were: the Faculty of Management of Lodz University, Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Faculty of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The holding of this joint event was made possible by the signing of a Framework Agreement on Cooperation between the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the NAS of Ukraine and the University of Lodia in January of this year, which provides new opportunities for the development of international scientific cooperation.

On 2017, November 24 in Lviv The Second International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference of Young Scientists, Postgraduates and Students "Transformation Processes in the Ukrainian Economy: Global and Regional Aspects" was held, organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Scientific Society of students, postgraduates, doctoral students and young scientists of the Institute of Economics and Management of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. Co-organizers of the conference were the Scientific-Educational Complex "Economosvita", Councils of Young Scientists and Scientific Societies of students, PhD students, doctoral students and young scientists of its establishments, Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland), National Institute for Economic Research (Republic of Moldova).

On 2017, October 19 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine Ukrainian-Polish Round Table "Competitiveness of Territories: Local and Global Challenges" was held, the main organizer of which was the Sector of Spatial Development of the Institute. In particular, from the Polish side, the event was attended by representatives of the Institute of Environmental Management and Territorial Policy and the Institute for the Organization of the Environment and Spatial Policy of the University of Lodz, the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Office of Spatial Planning of the Lodz Voivodship, the Strategic Bureau of the Administration of Lodz, the Consulate General Republic of Poland in Lviv. From the Ukrainian side, the participants of the round table were representatives of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine, the Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Scientific-educational complex "Economist", Public organization "Institute of Regionalistics", Association of Ukrainian Cities, local governments.

On 2017, June 12-14 in Krasnobrod of Poland in Center of Training and Recreation "Energetic" International seminar "XXII Workshop of Economists-Agrarians" was held within the framework of the bilateral project "Transformation of the socio-economic system in rural areas" between the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", in which two young scientists from the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach NAS of Ukraine Junior Researcher of the Department of development of territorial communities and transborder cooperation Ph.D. M. Bas-Yurchyshyn and Junior Researcher of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation Y. Kalat took part.

On 2017, June 15 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine and the bilateral project "Transformation of the socio-economic system in rural areas" Round Table was held on the theme "Development of Rural Areas: Polish and Ukrainian Experience".
The co-organizers of the event were the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine, the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Regional Branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Lviv.

On June 7-9, 2017 in Sports and recreation camp "Gart" of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University was held II International Scientific Practical Conference "Territorial Development and Regional Policy: Current State and Guidelines for Further Reforms" . The main organizer of the conference was Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine". 45 scientists, managers and practitioners from different regions of Ukraine, in particular from Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, Lutsk, Chernihiv and Uzhhorod, as well as foreign scientists from Poland (Warsaw, Bialystok, Yaroslav) participated in the conference. Among the participants of the conference were 8 Academicians and 4 Correspondent Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and branch academies of sciences, 17 doctors of science, representatives of various levels of governance.

On 2017, May 18 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine Second Scientific Readings on the issues of regionalism in memory of Academician Maryan Dolishniy was held.
An introductory speech was made by the Director of the Institute of Doctor of Economics, prof. Kravtsiv Vasyl Stepanovych. Professor Davymuka Stepan Antonovych presented the report "Maryan Ivanovych Dolyshniy - a statesman and citizen", leading researcher of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, in which he noted the importance of the figure of MI Dolishniy for the establishment of the Institute and the development of regional studies as a science in the Western region and Ukraine as a whole. Within the limits of scientific readings the presentation and publication of the results of the I Competition of scientific works on the issues of regional economic development and cross-border cooperation was held, which was held among young scientists of institutions participating in the "Economic Education" complex.

On 2017, April 28-29 Director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Kravtsiv V. S., and also Doctor of Economics, Prof. Stadnytskyy Y.I. and Ph.D. Zhuk P.V. participated in the International scientific and practical conference "Modern economic, social and environmental determinants of activation of the development of the country and its regions" organized by the Uzhgorod Trade and Economic Institute of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in cooperation with the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine and a number of other leading scientific institutions of Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland.

On 2017, March 30 in Lviv in the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine passed cross-border readings on the theme "Security as a priority of cross-border cooperation". The main goal of the event was to discuss the actual problems of ensuring the security of the border regions of Ukraine in the context of intensification of cross-border cooperation. Cross-border readings were held in a narrow circle of representatives of the Lviv School of Cross-Border Cooperation.
