Partnerships and Networks

The Institute systematically develops international partnerships both through bilateral agreements on scientific cooperation and through participation in professional international networks, which provides a stable institutional framework for joint research, projects, publications and professional events. The Institute's partner ecosystem includes leading scientific and educational organizations in Europe, with which regular interaction is maintained in the priority areas of regional development, cross-border cooperation, spatial planning and socio-economic analytics. Work on expanding international contacts continues, and the Institute's network of partnerships will continue to grow.

In total, the Institute has concluded more than 30 agreements on scientific cooperation. Today, 17 agreements on cooperation with foreign scientific institutions and higher education institutions are in force, in particular:

  • National Institute of Economic Research (Chisinau, Moldova);
  • Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism, University of Kragujevac (Serbia);
  • WSB Merito University in Poznań (Poland);
  • Faculty of Management, Częstochowa University of Technology (Poland);
  • Lodz University of Technology (Poland).

  • Institute for Urban and Regional Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (Vienna);

In parallel, the Institute is integrated into the international professional community of regional studies and is a member of the Regional Studies Association (RSA, Great Britain), which enhances access to network partnerships, expert platforms and joint initiatives in the field of regional studies.
