On May 16, 2019, at the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Science Festival, there were regular IV Academic Readings in memory of the Academician of the NAS of Ukraine M. I. Dolishniy - Round Table on the topic "Strategy of the regional development on the basis of smart specialization", which was attended by the Director of the Institute of Doctor of Economics, Prof. Kravtsiv V. S., Deputy Director of Scientific Work, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Storonyanska I. Z., Scientific Secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. Demchenko V. V., Heads of Research Departments of the Institute: Doctor of Economics, Prof. Shchults S. L., Doctor of Economics, Prof. Melnyk M. I., Doctor of Economics, Prof. Ishchuk S. O., Doctor of Economics, Prof. Vasyltsiv T. H., Doctor of Economics, Senior Researcher Prytula K. R., leading scientific staff (Doctor of Economics, Senior Researcher Voznyak H. V., Ph.D., Senior Researcher Zhuk P. V., Doctor of Economics, Senior Researcher Maksymchuk M. V.), other scientists of the Institute. Participants of the event were also guests from Ukraine and Poland.

In order to celebrate the scientists who published the best scientific works, made inventions and discoveries of great importance for the development of science and economics of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine annually award prizes named of the prominent scientists of Ukraine. The award named after Mykhailo Ivanovych Tugan-Baranovsky (Department of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) for outstanding scientific work in the field of economics was established by the Resolution of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine No. 238 dated July 16, 1992. The award period is set once every three years. According to the results of the 2018 competition, the M. I. Tugan-Baranovsky Prize was awarded to the scientists of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Kravtsiv V. S., Storonyanska I. Z., Zhuk P. V.

On 2019, May 21 in Lviv in the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with assistance of the Faculty of Financial Management and Business was held scientific and practical conference to the 30th anniversary of the Jean Monnet Activities «Teaching and Research of Economics in European Integration: Methodological approaches» in the framework of the project Jean Monnet Module «Economics in European Integration: Internal Challenges and External Dimension», in which took part Leading Engineer of the Sector Cross-Border Cooperation of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine Olha Demedyuk. The sector representative presented the project under the Jean Monnet Support to Associations «Boosting Local Economic Growth in Border Regions in the Process of EU Integration: Best Practices of Eastern Partnership (EaP) Countries» implemented by international team of experts and coordinated by the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine. In particular, the conference participants were informed about the project team, tasks and activities as well as the major achievements of the first year of the project implementation.

On 2019, April 23 the International Conference "Effective Land Management as a Prerequisite for Ukraine's Economic Growth" was held in the conference room of Dnister Hotel (Lviv) with the support of the World Bank and the EU Delegation in Ukraine.
Participation in the conference took Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olha Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Iryna Sadovska, Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Oleksandr Krasnolutsky, World Bank representatives Baher El-Kifnavi and Klaus Dunninger, Deputy Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Roman Fylypiv, Acting Director of the Department of Agricultural Development Lyudmyla Honcharenko and others. Among the participants of the conference were also employees of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine Olha Zhabynets, Lyubomir Kazmir, Oksana Kushniretska, Nadia Synyura-Rostun.

On December 13, 2018 the presentation of the Erasmus+ EU Office of the National Erazmus Program of Ukraine (NEO) on its key activities of KA1, KA2, Jean Monnet took place at the Dolyshniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine">.
Event organizers were Ivanna Atamanchuk, Veronika Tkachenko (NEO) and Ivanna Mishchyshyn (IRR NAS of Ukraine).
More than 50 representatives of institutions of higher education, research institutions, public and youth organizations of Lviv took part in the event.
Representatives of NEO in Ukraine Ivanna Atamanchuk and Veronika Tkachenko familiarized participants with the EU Erasmus+ Program, its architecture, basic key areas. Particular attention was devoted to the preparation of projects on International Credit Mobility, Individual Credit Mobility Opportunities, Higher Education Capacity Building Projects, Youth Mobility Projects (Youth Exchanges, Mobility of Youth Workers, Volunteer Projects) and Jean Monnet Project Preparation (teaching, research, debates, associations). Separately, the criteria for evaluating project applications and deadlines for contests in 2019 were highlighted.
After the presentations, the participants were given an opportunity to receive individual consultations on participation in the Erasmus+ program.

On December 06, 2018 in the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine held the International scientific conference "Problems of development of financial-credit and insurance area of the region: experience of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus".
The organizers of the conference were Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv) and Krakow University of Economics, conference partners - NGO "Institute of Regional Studies", Belarusian State Economic University" (Minsk), Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University.

On November 20, 2018, within the framework of the International Congress "Scientific potential of the Western region of Ukraine in the context of international cooperation: the current state and prospects of development", devoted to the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, in the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine held the International Round Table "Problems and Prospects for Sustainable Development of Ukrainian Regions in the Context of European Integration Processes".
The purpose of the round table was to present and discuss the results of research carried out by scholars of the academic institutions of Kyiv, Lviv and Uzhgorod in the framework of the implementation of the Target Program of Scientific Research of the Economics Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "The Trajectory of Sustainable Development of Ukraine until 2030". Four scientists from the Institute for the Development of Village and Agriculture of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw) took part in the work of round table.

On November 19, 2018, the solemn events of the Western Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine took place in Lviv to mark the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The plenary session of the International Congress "Scientific Potential of the Western Region of Ukraine in the Context of International Cooperation: Current Situation and Development Prospects" was held in the first half of the day, at which the reports of representatives of the leading scientific institutions of Lviv, as well as scientists from Poland, Slovakia and Hungary were heard. At this event the report "Regional Policy in Ukraine: Actual Problems and Tasks of Economic Science" was made the Director of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine, head of the Section of Economy of the Western Scientific Center of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Doctor of economics, Professor Vasyl Kravtsiv.
In the second half of the day in the Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska held a solemn meeting of the scientific community of the Western region of Ukraine on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of state authorities and local self-government, national and foreign scientific-educational institutions.

On October 25-27, 2018, at the Lviv Polytechnic National University the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Marketing and Logistics in the Management System" was held. The organizers of the conference were: the Department of Marketing and Logistics of the Institute of Economics and Management of Lviv Polytechnic together with the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (Lublin, Poland) and Cracow University of Economics (Krakow, Poland) . About 120 scientists from more than 40 Ukrainian and 8 Polish higher education institutions came to Lviv to share their experiences.

On October 10-12, 2018 Head of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation, D.Sc. in Economics, Senior Researcher Khrystyna Prytula and junior researcher in the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation Yaroslava Kalat (both - Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine (Hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") took part in the international round table "The Role of Cross-Border Cooperation in Restoration of the European Order after the First World War", which took place within the framework of the International Conference "Europe through the Century after the End of the First World War (1918-2018).
