On May 25, 2017, employees of the Sector of Problems of Transborder Cooperation, Ph.D. Olena Pasternak and Leading Engineer Oksana Tsysinska took part in the III International Scientific Practical Conference "Modern Trends in Regional Cooperation: Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldovan Dimension", which was held at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The conference was organized by the Center for Romanian Studies on the basis of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations.

On 2017, May 18 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine Second Scientific Readings on the issues of regionalism in memory of Academician Maryan Dolishniy was held.
An introductory speech was made by the Director of the Institute of Doctor of Economics, prof. Kravtsiv Vasyl Stepanovych. Professor Davymuka Stepan Antonovych presented the report "Maryan Ivanovych Dolyshniy - a statesman and citizen", leading researcher of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, in which he noted the importance of the figure of MI Dolishniy for the establishment of the Institute and the development of regional studies as a science in the Western region and Ukraine as a whole. Within the limits of scientific readings the presentation and publication of the results of the I Competition of scientific works on the issues of regional economic development and cross-border cooperation was held, which was held among young scientists of institutions participating in the "Economic Education" complex.

On 2017, May 18 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Scientific-Educational Complex "Economit" was held. The organizer of the meeting was the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine. The meeting was attended by representatives of the participants of the complex: Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine, University of Banking, Ternopil National Economic University, Lviv Trade and Economic University, Lutsk National Technical University, Western Scientific Center of NAS and MES of Ukraine, Institute of Cross-Border Cooperation and European Integration in Lviv.

On 2017, May 19 meeting of the 25th session of the Pustomyty District Council was held. The agenda of the session included the issue of approval of the Strategy for the development of the Pustomyty district for the period until 2025, the draft of which was developed by the specialists of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine – Leading Researcher, Ph.D. Zhuk P. V., Researcher, Ph.D. Pelekhatyy A. O., Junior Researcher, Ph.D. Bas-Yurchyshyn M. A., Leading Engineer Fedirko B. O. A report on this issue was made by Zhuk P. V. On the results of the hearing of the report and discussion of the corresponding issue in relevant agenda the deputies unanimously adopted the decision on approval of the Strategy.

On 2017, April 27 Researcher of the Department of regional economic policy of Dolyshniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine, Ph.D. Popadynets N. P. participated in the International scientific conference "Modern economic, social and environmental determinants of activating the development of the country and its regions", organized by the High School of International Business ISM (Presov, Slovak Republic), in two directions: "Quality of life in social and ethical dimensions" and "Business and Innovation in business activity".

On 2017, April 28-29 Director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Kravtsiv V. S., and also Doctor of Economics, Prof. Stadnytskyy Y.I. and Ph.D. Zhuk P.V. participated in the International scientific and practical conference "Modern economic, social and environmental determinants of activation of the development of the country and its regions" organized by the Uzhgorod Trade and Economic Institute of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics in cooperation with the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine and a number of other leading scientific institutions of Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland.

On 2017, May 19 Head of the Department of development of territorial communities and transborder cooperation V. Borshchevskyy took part in the strategic hackathon on the theme "Accelerating of decentralization reforms and developing a vision of the strategic development of a united territorial community", which took place in Yavoriv in Lviv region during April 18-21, 2017. The event was organized by the Agency for Local Economic Development of Yavoriv region within the framework of the project "Interregional bridge of understanding and partnership", which is being implemented within the framework of the program "Ukrainian Regional Platform for Civic Initiatives" with the financial support of the EU.

On 2017, April 12 Researcher of the Department of development of territorial communities and transborder cooperation, Ph.D. Tsymbalista Nataliya Andriyivna participated in a practical seminar on state support to the agri-industrial complex and its reforming, which took place in Lviv with the support of the EU project "Support to the implementation of agricultural and food policy in Ukraine".

On 2017, March 30 in Lviv in the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine passed cross-border readings on the theme "Security as a priority of cross-border cooperation". The main goal of the event was to discuss the actual problems of ensuring the security of the border regions of Ukraine in the context of intensification of cross-border cooperation. Cross-border readings were held in a narrow circle of representatives of the Lviv School of Cross-Border Cooperation.

On 2017, March 29 Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr.Sci. in Economics, Prof. I. Storonyanska, Head of the Department of regional economic policy, Dr.Sci. in Economics, Prof. S. Shults, Head of the Department of development of territorial communities and transborder cooperation V. Borshchevskyy participated in public hearings "Healthcare reform in the partnership with local self-government", which was held in Lviv in the framework of the project "Supporting the reform of local self-government in Ukraine", implemented by the Institute of Civil Society in partnership with the Eastern Europe Foundation and funded by the European Union and supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
