On September 20, 2022, representatives of the sector of cross-border cooperation of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", Ph.D. of Economics Yaroslava Kalat and Ph.D. of Sociology Anna Maksymenko took part in one of the modules of the Spring School in Bolivia "Borders and problems of citizens: a comparative view between the European Union and the Latin American region in the era of COVID 19", which is held within the framework of the Jean Monet Modular Project.
In a report on the topic "The impact of Russia's war against Ukraine on the eastern borders of the EU", Ya. Kalat cited the main aspects of the development of cross-border cooperation with EU countries, as well as with Russia until 2014. She also focused on the role of cross-border cooperation in the conditions of various types of crises and noted that cross-border cooperation with EU countries created strong ties and this, in particular, helped us quickly establish support with neighboring countries and self-organize at the local level in February this year. The speaker focused the attention of the event participants on the severe consequences of Russian aggression for the development of Ukraine and neighboring countries.
During the discussion, A. Maksymenko revealed the issue of the role of borders in the conditions of martial law and Ukraine's cooperation with the border services of neighboring countries.

Increasing the capacity of freight transportation infrastructure will strengthen the EU-Ukraine connectivity. The project provides a study of prospects for capacity building of existing border crossing points and opening new ones. It also focuses on the investigation of the potential of existing and planned network of transshipment and multimodal terminals in Ukraine and neighboring EU member states (three of which are countries of the V4 region), and on the assessment of prospects for adaptation of the European and Ukrainian freight markets to the requirements of the European Green Deal.
The project will be implemented from October 2022 to March 2024

On 2022, June 13-15 in Krasnobród of Poland International seminar "XXVI Workshop of Economists-Agrarians" was held within the framework of the cooperation between the Institute of Rural Development and Agriculture of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland), Warsaw University of Natural Sciences, Bohdan Dobzhansky Institute of Agrophysics (Lublin, Poland), University of Natural Sciences (Lublin, Poland), State Higher School Pope John Paul II (Byala Pidlyaska), the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine), the Institute of Land Use of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine), the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research NAS of Ukraine (Lviv, Ukraine), National Aviation University (Kyiv, Ukraine), National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine), Sumy National Agrarian University (Sumy, Ukraine) and other Polish and Ukrainian scientific institutions and universities. On June 9, 2022, in the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine the Department of Regional Economic Policy in Zoom format held a discussion platform on “Imperatives and Security Priorities for Preservation and Development of Productive Capacity of Regions of Ukraine in the Conditions of War”. The thematic areas of the scientific-communication event were identified as follows: transformation of theoretical and methodological bases for the study of the productive capacity of the economy under the influence of external challenges; risks and threats to the preservation and realization of the productive capacity of the economy of the regions in martial law; building the institutional infrastructure to attract technology and investment to restore Ukraine's economy. The introductory speech was opened by the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Kravtsiv V.S. Representatives of scientific schools from different regions of Ukraine and Europe (Kyiv, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhia, Ternopil and Rzeszow (Poland)) and a wide range of economic areas and specialties joined the discussion platform.

On April 22, 2022 employees of the sector of cross-border cooperation - Dr.Sci. of Economics Prytula Kh. M. and Ph.D. Maksymenko A.O. took part in an international scientific conference "European Union security strategy in the context of the metamorphoses of international relations" ("Security Strategy of the European Union in the context of metamorphoses of international relations").
The conference was organized by the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova (Chisinau). The event was held in a mixed (offline and online) format, which was attended by representatives of the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Israel, Ukraine, India and other countries. The staff of the Institute made a report in English “The Ukrainian dimension of modern global security system: searching for new horizons of its development” (“Ukrainian dimension of modern global security system: search for new horizons of development”). , given its ability to prevent and respond quickly to existing challenges and threats to the national security of sovereign states. Emphasis was placed on the impact of the war in Ukraine on economic (including food) and social security at the national, regional and global levels. They highlighted the scale of migration flows (internal and external) in the first two weeks of the war and their potential consequences for the economy of Ukraine and European countries, especially neighboring ones. On January 26-27, 2022, the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter the Institute) together with the Research Institute of European Integration and Regional Studies of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University held an international scientific-practical seminar "Cross-border cooperation – the challenge of crises: the search for greater efficiency and effectiveness” organized by the Jean Monnet project “ Stimulating Local Economic Growth in Border Regions in the EU Integration Process: Best Practices in the Eastern Partnership Countries” (No 599948-EPP-1-2018-1-EN- EPPJMO-SUPPA), coordinated by the Institute. The event was also co-organized by the University of Oradea (Romania), the Institute for Euroregional Studies (ISER) (Romania), the University of Debrecen (Hungary), the Center of Excellence at SGH Warsaw School of Economics (CEWSE) (Poland), The Academy of Public Administration (Republic of Moldova).

On December 6, 2021, the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists "Prospects for Entrepreneurship Development in the Global Perspective" was held online on the Microsoft Teams platform.
The main organizers of the conference were: the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy WZ UL, Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, SKN Globalni, Council of Young Scientists of theDolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, NGO "Institute of Regional Studies", Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss current issues of entrepreneurship and innovation through the exchange of views and experiences of young scientists, as well as integration and cooperation in international teams in the field of entrepreneurship and its forms development, support for enterprises in period of global problems and also issues related to entrepreneurial behavior and business environment.

On October 21-22, 2021, an international conference "EU Experience in Stimulating Local Economic Growth in the Process of European Integration: Best Practices of the Eastern Partnership Countries" was held in the conference hall of the Leopolis Hotel (Lviv, Ukraine). The conference was held in the framework of the international project "Stimulating local economic growth in border regions in the process of European integration: best practices of the Eastern Partnership countries" (№ 599948-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-SUPPA) in the direction of "Jean Monnet - Association Support" EU ERASMUS+ Program. On October 21, 2021, the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine together with Lviv University of Trade and Economics held the First International Scientific and Practical Conference of Higher Education Seekers and Young Scientists on topic "Current problems of financial and economic system development: priorities and prospects". On May 27-28, 2021, on the basis of the University of Economics in Krakow, a special jubilee scientific conference "The idea of insurance in Poland. Achievements and new challenges ", dedicated to honoring the scientific and didactic achievements of the head of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance of the Krakow University of Economics, Dr. Gab., Prof. Wanda Sulkowska.
The conference included an exchange of experiences and opinions, presentation of research results of scientists from different countries on the development of insurance and the financial market, including in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The conference took place in a mixed form: in-house (at the Krakow University of Economics) and remotely using the Zoom platform.
From the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine at the conference spoke senior researcher of the Department of Spatial Development Zhabynets O.Y. with a report "Features of the insurance market of Ukraine in a pandemic Covid-19" and junior researcher of the Department of Regional Environmental Policy and Nature Management Myshchyshyn I.R. with the report "The impact of the COVID-2019 pandemic on the insurance market of Ukraine."
