Problems of scientific research

The main research areas of the department are:

• Scientific basis for the formation and directions of implementation of regional financial policy, financial credit mechanisms for regional development.
• Sources of formation and directions of realization of financial potential of the regions.
• Features of financial management of local communities and intergovernmental relations in terms of administrative-territorial reform.
• Monitoring of local budgets in the region and assessing the efficiency of budget resources use.

Scientific research themes:

• Developing of mechanisms of innovation capitalization (on example of Western region of Ukraine) (2006-2007).
• Scientific support for increasing of capitalization of regional assets (2008-2009).
• Mechanisms of efficiency increasing for the financial potential use in the region (2010-2011).
• Information-analytical system for maintenance of budget process at the regional level (Lviv region) in the project: Intelligent automated information analytical system for support the budget process at the base of national supercomputers (2010-2011).

• Financial mechanisms of formation of convergent model of regional development (2012-2014)
