On September 26-27, 2017, International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Experience of the Association of Territorial Communities in the East of Ukraine: Economic and Legal Aspects", which has gathered more than 50 participants, was held in the Institute of Economic and Legal Research of NAS of Ukraine in cooperation with the Regional Representative Office of the Fund n.a. Friedrich Ebert in Ukraine.
The international status of the event was provided by economists and lawyers from the Federal Republic of Germany (the University of Ausburg, the Leibniz Institute for Eastern and Southern European Studies, the Center for Research in Eastern and Southern Europe in Regensburg). The Ukrainian side at the event was represented by employees of central and local authorities, representatives of the united territorial communities of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, international organizations and scholars.

On September 20-22, 2017, the traditional (already XVIII) International Scientific and Practical Forum took place at the Lviv National Agrarian University, which is considered one of the most important events in the field of agrarian science of Ukraine. The peculiarity of this year's International Forum was that it was devoted to the remarkable personality - one of the organizers of the cooperative movement in Western Ukraine engineer Yaroslav Zayshly.
According to the organizing committee, in this year about 200 domestic and foreign scientists took part in the Forum's work. Among the participants were representatives of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research Ph.D. І. Р. Zalutskyy, Ph.D. L. P. Kazmir and Ph.D. O. V. Kushniretska.

On September 21-22, 2017, the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of Formation and Implementation of Competition Policy" dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education of Lviv Polytechnic was held in the Lviv National Polytechnic University.
The event was organized with the support of the Lviv Regional Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), the Center for Integrated Research of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the Ignatius Lukasiewicz Rzeszow Polytechnic (Ryashiv (Rzeszow)), the School of Management of the University of Silesia (Katowice) and the Ukrainian Free University (Munich).
The academic community was attended by the leaders and employees of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the scientists of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Development of the region of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

On 2017, September 7 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine (Hereinafter the Institute) working meeting between the representatives of the Institute and Lodz Technical University (Poland) that was devoted to establishing scientific contacts and discussing the prospects of cooperation between institutions. From the Institute in the event participated: Director of the Institute Doctor of Economics, Professor Vasyl Kravtsiv; Scientific secretary of the Institute, Ph.D. Volodymyr Demchenko; Head of the Department of development of the production sphere of the region and investments, Doctor of Economics, Professor Svitlana Ishchuk, Head of the Sector of transborder cooperation Doctor of Economics Chrystyna Prytula; Senior Researcher of the Department of development of the production sphere of the region and investments Ph.D. Lyubomyr Sozansky; Junior Researcher of the Department of regional environmental policy and nature management Ivanna Myshchyshyn.

From July 9 till July 19, 2017, International Summer School "Geopolitics. Triangle Romania-Ukraine-Moldova: Geopolitics and Security Strategies" was held at the Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania) and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (Ukraine), in which Tsisinska O.B. presented her report "Transborder Cooperation as a Component of the Strategic Security of Ukrainian-Romanian-Moldovan Relations".

On June 6-7, 2017, in the framework of the international round table "Achievements, modern approaches and prospects of cross-border cooperation assessment" in Oradea (Romania), employees of the Sector of transborder cooperation of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of NAS of Ukraine junior researcher Yaroslava Kalat and leading engineer Olha Demedyuk made a presentation "Transborder cooperation between Ukraine and EU member states: problems and prospects of development". Young scientists highlighted the main problems of cross-border cooperation between border regions of Ukraine and EU member states in terms of enhanced integration and considered the prospects and opportunities of cross-border cooperation, particularly between Ukraine and Romania.

On 2017, July 10 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine (Hereinafter the Institute) working meeting between the representatives of the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine, the Oradea-Debrecen Institute for Euroregional Studies (Romania) and the University of Oradea (Romania) that was devoted to the prospects of cooperation between the scientific institutions of Ukraine and Romania was held. From the Institute in the event participated: Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Work, Dr.Sci., Prof. Iryna Storonyanska; Scientific secretary of the Institute Ph.D. Volodymyr Demchenko; Acting Head of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation, Dr.Sci., Senior Researcher Chrystyna Prytula; Researcher of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation Olena Pasternak; Yaroslava Kalat, Junior Researcher of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation; Graduate Student Tetyana Bandura.

On 2017, June 12-14 in Krasnobrod of Poland in Center of Training and Recreation "Energetic" International seminar "XXII Workshop of Economists-Agrarians" was held within the framework of the bilateral project "Transformation of the socio-economic system in rural areas" between the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", in which two young scientists from the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach NAS of Ukraine Junior Researcher of the Department of development of territorial communities and transborder cooperation Ph.D. M. Bas-Yurchyshyn and Junior Researcher of the Sector of problems of transborder cooperation Y. Kalat took part.

On 2017, June 15 in Lviv in Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine and the bilateral project "Transformation of the socio-economic system in rural areas" Round Table was held on the theme "Development of Rural Areas: Polish and Ukrainian Experience".
The co-organizers of the event were the Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine, the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development Polish Academy of Sciences and the Regional Branch of the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Lviv.

On June 7-9, 2017 in Sports and recreation camp "Gart" of Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University was held II International Scientific Practical Conference "Territorial Development and Regional Policy: Current State and Guidelines for Further Reforms" . The main organizer of the conference was Dolishniy Institute of Regional Reseach of NAS of Ukraine". 45 scientists, managers and practitioners from different regions of Ukraine, in particular from Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, Lutsk, Chernihiv and Uzhhorod, as well as foreign scientists from Poland (Warsaw, Bialystok, Yaroslav) participated in the conference. Among the participants of the conference were 8 Academicians and 4 Correspondent Members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and branch academies of sciences, 17 doctors of science, representatives of various levels of governance.
